Kagome’s fingers curled around strands of something smooth and silky. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as her eyes slowly fluttered open, blinking away the sleepiness. She saw the usual décor of her room and had no doubt that she was at the right place. So what, exactly, was she holding in her hand? More importantly, what was on her bed?
Slowly, almost fearfully, Kagome turned her head to look at the other side of the bed. Immediately, she noticed the glint of something - or someone’s - silver hair. Eyes widening, her gaze trailed up and up until… the image of a sleeping Sesshoumaru with a peaceful, angelic face burned a hole within her mind.
Before she could stop herself, she released a screech of utter disbelief - startling Sesshoumaru so badly he leapt out of bed, legs tangled in the sheets, and promptly fell to the floor in an ungraceful heap. When he resurfaced to glare at her with mussed hair and a sour expression, Kagome had already backed herself into a corner, pointing an accusing finger at him.
“You… You took advantage of me, didn’t you?!” Kagome shouted, voice trembling.
“Hardly,” Sesshoumaru retorted, untangling himself to sit upon his bed, completely bare. “If anything, I’d say you took advantage of me.”
“Wait... Stop!” she exclaimed, flailing her arms about before quickly covering her eyes with both hands. “And I did not! You’re in my room!”
He snorted. “Check again, Higurashi.”
Undeterred, Kagome walked to the door, pulled it open, and looked at the room number. She swore under her breath when she realized her error.
“Shit! Not again!” Kagome whined, before stomping back into her own room through their connected doors - making sure to slam it shut behind her with extra force.
Sesshoumaru only chuckled in response.
