Sesshoumaru’s eyes snapped open when he heard his door slowly creaking ajar and the whispers of shuffling feet. Laying there unmoving, he waited for the intruder’s next form of action.
A heavy weight landed on him suddenly, knocking the breath out of him. He shot up in bed and stared down at Kagome’s slumbering figure.
“She’s quite the frisky character, isn’t she?” Sesshoumaru thought to himself bewilderedly. But rather than waking her up, he pushed her off, rolled over and went back to sleep.
He couldn’t wait to see her horrified expression upon waking up tomorrow.
Revenge was sweet, indeed.
