“So how exactly do they tell you time of death? The body was pulverized!” Kagome said looking at the dead insects with suspicion. Any moment one of them was just going to wake up and attack her, she just knew it.
“Well these specific types will nibble tiny bits of flesh, and they are so small and lightweight that whatever was used to crush the body missed them. So…”
“You have D.N.A.?” Kagome’s eyes widened, and she looked at the tiny, all be it gross, insects with a newfound respect.
“Traces of it.” Inuyasha said, a smug look on his face.
“Great work, Insecto-squint!” Inuyasha’s smug expression was instantly replaced at the tiny F.B.I. sudden exclamation.
“Fitting nickname. However I think my discovery, is a lot less creepy.” The new voice drew the attention of the group to a young man with brilliant green eyes.
“Keh, and how is that?” Inuyasha challenged. Shippou grinned.
“Because I figured out the victim.” He held up a sketch with a small photograph attached. The victorious grin on the young man’s face was aimed at Inuyasha.
“You know, I think that makes him king of the lab today.” Kagome winked at the sulking Inuyasha.
