This past Monday was the "Immigrant: Stop Working To Protest a New Immigration Bill". With that there was people on both sides of the issue: give illegals citizenship, and "illegals go home".
My take on it: if they have a passport, give them a workers visa and let them stay as long as they have legitimate work, or send them back.
Here's the thing: they do the work that American's don't want to do, and they will gladly accept minimum wage. They are vital for our economy, but the redneck morons with their huge SUVs (and the sign I saw that read: "Secure our borders, stop the invasion") are just that: too stupid to know what's good for them or the country they claim to love. What a bunch of worthless asses they are, the redneck dipsticks, perhaps they are the ones we should dump off in Mexico.
I think they should stay if they work legitimately (and that should be routinely verified by INS), and they shouldn't be able to say without valid identification (passport). So what's the problem? This is the most cost effective way with dealing with the issue. It boils down to this: we are all immigrants, or descendants of immigrants, so to be against immigrants or against helping immigrants, we would be (and some are) terrible hypocrites.
More on this later.
