That's not saying much.

Faith and Devotion = The death throes of the classic lineup. Dave's obsession with grunge and bad hair runs my boyhood hero Alan Wilder out of town. Martin really stretched on his girl-winning-over routine. Although "Rush" had a definite leg up on any industrial bands at the time.

Ultra = Hey, the "electronica" phase is in full swing, right? Let's get that Bomb The Bass dude in here and put out a late 90's trendy album! Remixes? Underworld, Dan The Automator, hey, who else is front cover on Future Music?

Exciter = You know guys, maybe it's time to accept your 80's fans are more in touch with Dido or Norah Jones and put out an "Adult Contemporary" album, right? Wrong.

81-04 = You didn't need Linkin Park "re-interpreting" anything. Weight lifting 16 year old boys won't benefit from exposure to Depeche Mode. Great way to reward the fans - how about tossing in some "Breathing In Fumes" or "Are People People?" or some of the bootleg Coil remixes.

However, "Precious" is definitely one of their best songs in a long time, and is way better than anything else on today's alternative market. "John The Revelator" also had its moments, and both me and vanishing_point are digging on "Suffer Well". The rest of it isn't very memorable to me, and I've given it about 5-6 listens on iTunes at work.
