A/N: I'm sorry for disappearing. I'm drowning in work and it all has to be done before February. That sounds like a long time but it's really, really not. I'll try to get some real updates ready whenever I can. I miss writing so much. Thank you for being patient.
“I thought we were going to watch a movie tonight.”
“We are.”
“We’d have to get up to get to the TV.” Changmin looked down at Junsu, who was curled up, half covered by their blanket, with an arm over Changmin's legs and his head on Changmin’s stomach.
“Hmm.” Junsu’s eyes stayed closed and he pressed his face into the fabric of Changmin’s hoodie. “Don’t want to get up.”
“But.. movie..”
“We’ll get to it.”
Changmin sighed but gave up. Actually, he was fine with doing nothing for a while.
They were both tired. Today had been the last day of work before the holidays, and the first thing they’d done after dinner was collapse on the bed together. It was the official closing of a stressful period.
Changmin had thought it was just to make that statement, and that they’d get up now and celebrate their free time more actively, but Junsu seemed very happy to stay like this.
He lifted a hand to Junsu’s head and ran fingers through his hair. The edges of Junsu’s lips curled up, but other than that he barely reacted, so lazy. Changmin smiled.
He made use of his long arms to reach for a pillow and pull it under his head. His legs were warm, covered by the blanket, and his stomach too, covered by Junsu. It was quite comfortable.
He went back to playing with Junsu’s hair and closed his eyes for a moment, just a moment.
The room was dark when he opened them again, and the blanket reached his shoulders. No Junsu.
Changmin got up and stumbled to the light switch. His head was heavy so he must have slept for a while.
Junsu was on the couch, holding a mug and watching a movie.
Changmin sat next to him and moved an arm over his shoulders. “You started without me.” He almost pressed a kiss to Junsu’s cheek, but didn’t, because he was complaining.
“You fell asleep. Your own fault.”
“But-”
Junsu turned his head and briefly pressed their lips together. “Shut up, beautiful scene.”
Changmin licked his lips. Chocolate. He just looked at the half empty mug in Junsu’s hands and Junsu already handed it too him, without looking away from the screen.
Changmin stayed quiet until the end of the movie. He didn’t bother trying to follow the unfolding a plot that he knew nothing about but was probably very similar to any other cheesy Christmas movie.
He finished the hot chocolate and then moved his free hand to Junsu’s leg. Junsu leaned into him, but he’d made it clear that he didn’t want to be distracted, so Changmin stopped his hands from wandering too much.
He didn’t even notice the movie was over until Junsu relaxed and reached for the remote.
Junsu turned off the TV and then looked at him. “Are we happy?”
Changmin sat back a little when the question hit him. “What? ... I mean.. we are. Why? We are, right?”
Junsu laughed, probably at the shocked expression on his face. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound so serious.”
Changmin frowned. “Not funny, Su.” Those stupid Christmas movies always had some deep message about love.
They’d had a big fight just two weeks before; the day after Changmin had come home from an unannounced date with colleagues, very late and completely wasted - Junsu had the right to be upset, but Changmin couldn’t help that his boss probably would have fired him if he hadn’t come along and participated in the drinking games.
“I know,” Junsu said. He rested his head on Changmin’s shoulder. “I’m happy.”
Changmin moved his arm down around Junsu’s waist. “Me too.”
Sometimes they fought, but that was probably normal. And sometimes Junsu’s silly actions made Changmin roll his eyes, but honestly, it was cute.
Changmin grabbed Junsu’s shoulders, lowered him to his back and leaned over him. Junsu let him and he tilted his head up for a kiss.
“Should we just ditch our families for the holidays? Have a lot of time for us?” Junsu asked when Changmin broke away.
“Sounds good,” Changmin pressed kisses down Junsu’s neck between talking. “But won’t they get mad?”
“It’s fine, they’ll see us for your birthday, when I throw a big party.”
Changmin pulled back. “Are you serious? Now I feel bad that I didn’t throw you a big party.”
Junsu shook his head. “I was still mad at you anyway.”
Changmin gave him yet another apologetic kiss. “I’m sorry. Nothing happened, I’ll always let you know where I am and I’ll never throw up on your stuff again.”
Junsu smiled. “I know. You can stop repeating that.”
“Okay, less talking,” Changmin went back to caressing Junsu’s skin with his lips.
Junsu arched into him but then his moan was half a protest. “I want to sleep, Minnie.”
Changmin pushed up on his arms. “Why?”
“I’m tired. You’ve slept all evening, I haven’t.”
Changmin sighed, disappointed. “Why didn’t you sleep when I did?”
“Because we were going to watch a movie tonight.”
Changmin turned off the light, shivered when he walked over the cold floor and climbed into the bed. He could tell from listening to his breathing that Junsu was already asleep.
Changmin moved an arm around his warm body and a pleasant shiver shot through him when Junsu snuggled against his side.
Tomorrow, they'd be well rested and they'd have a lot of time for each other.
