Title: Seasons
Length: One-shot
Pairing: YunJae
Rating: PG-13
Summary: It’s autumn, and Yunho loves Jaejoong.
Yunho waited in front of the coffeehouse, warming his hands on a latte to go.
The sun hung low in the sky, but he could still feel its soft warmth on his cheeks. Even the grey and black buildings around him looked less cold as they glowed orange.
Yunho looked around. There was a gust of wind and a little girl on the other side of the road almost lost a red balloon. In the next moment the coffee was gone from his hands.
Jaejoong laughed at his shocked expression, it made his eyes shine. His hair was messy in a stylish way. Even when it was plain black like now, he could make it stand out.
“Am I late?”
Yunho pushed up his glasses - a stubborn habit Jaejoong called cute - and shook his head. “You’re right on time.”
Jaejoong took a sip of his latte and closed his eyes in bliss. He leaned in and kissed Yunho’s cheek. “Perfect. You spoil me.” He smiled widely again. “Let’s go, we have enough time to walk through the park.”
Jaejoong was wearing tight jeans and a thick jacket. It made his legs look longer. Yunho saw more than one person follow him with his eyes as they walked. Jaejoong always looked stunning.
“You have a paper due, right? Have you finished it?” Jaejoong asked.
Yunho was impressed he remembered. Jaejoong barely remembered his own schedule. “I still have over ten hours,” he said.
Jaejoong chuckled. “You’re starting to sound like me.”
The park was full of colours; brown, orange, warm like the last sunlight. Jaejoong dropped his paper coffee cup in a bin and reached up to touch a fiery red leaf. “I love this season.”
The jacket rode up and revealed his thin waist. Yunho’s hands automatically found Jaejoong’s hips.
Jaejoong leaned back against him, still looking up at the trees. One of his hands slid over Yunho’s and their fingers intertwined.
Yunho once again thanked whatever power had given him the courage to ask Jaejoong out five months ago. “Me too.”
An older woman walked passed them on the narrow path and she sniffed in disdain. Yunho stepped back, embarrassed.
Jaejoong twisted around, stood on his toes and wrapped his arms around Yunho’s neck.
Yunho couldn’t protest when their lips pressed together. It was no more than a lingering touch, no tongue or exaggerated movements, but enough for the woman to mutter what was probably an insult and quicken her pace.
Jaejoong pulled back and smiled. “That’s how you react to them, remember?”
Yunho returned his smile. “I’m not sure if I got everything. Teach me more?”
Jaejoong moved in again, but right at that moment when their lips just barely brushed, he said: “we’re going to be late,” and he jumped away, laughing.
They weren’t the kind of couple to make out in the cinema, they loved movies too much. They could watch DVDs in Yunho’s dorm room all night and they wouldn’t even do more than cuddle.
It was dark when they stepped outside. Jaejoong’s breath came out in little grey clouds as he explained why the plot had been weak in the middle but amazing at the end. Yunho nodded and took Jaejoong’s hand, which earned him a smile.
Late night dinner an the restaurant of Jaejoong’s aunt was not very romantic but always fun. They were invited to sit by the regulars, who treated them to at least two bottles of soju and a dozen life stories before they could get away.
“I don’t have an early shift tomorrow,” Jaejoong said.
Yunho’s head felt a bit light, but he wasn’t too drunk to get the hint. “Your place or mine?” he asked.
“Yoochun is with his new girlfriend.”
“He’s fast.”
Jaejoong chuckled. “I think he used ‘It’s autumn baby, you can fall into my arms now.’ That and his dad’s car.”
Yunho smiled. “Your place then.” Without Yoochun there, Jaejoong’s room was bigger than his.
Jaejoong looked at him, biting his lip “Is it okay though? ..your paper.”
Yunho shrugged. “This teacher likes me enough that I can get away with it.”
“You’re every teacher’s pet,” Jaejoong teased.
Yunho sighed. “Sometimes I wish I’d fail more so we could be students together forever.”
Jaejoong hit his shoulder, “I won’t be a student forever, I’m not that stupid.” He looked up and Yunho followed his gaze. The crescent moon was just visible between two buildings. “And after we graduate we’ll just rent an apartment together. I claim one of the walls for my DVD shelf.”
Yunho stared at the side of Jaejoong’s head. They’d never talked about the future like that before. The sun was gone for today, but his heart glowed with soft warmth.
“Rain,” Jaejoong suddenly said, and before Yunho could ask what he meant, there was a slight sting of icy wet in his neck.
Some people would have ran for cover, but Jaejoong spread his arms and closed his eyes, tilting his chin up. Normally, Yunho would pull him under a roof and let Jaejoong laugh at his fussing over health, but it had rained just the day before and the air was clean.
After a few big drops, the rain turned into a drizzle and Jaejoong seemed to glare his disappointment at the moon. His room was just around the corner now and Yunho couldn’t wait to get there and kiss that pout away.
Yoochun’s bed was the one with the calendar above it. The month October was visualised in the form of a Japanese girl wearing little more than orange and black stockings, dressed up as something Yunho could still make out to be a combination of a witch and a pumpkin.
There were film posters above the other bed, and a string of yellow and red autumn leaves. The little details Jaejoong added to his side of the room always made Yunho feel like he’d walked into a catalogue, but with lot of personal Jaejoong touch.
Without giving him time to take off his coat, Jaejoong pushed him down on that bed. Yunho smiled and slid back until he was sitting against the wall, giving Jaejoong room to climb over him.
His hands found Jaejoong’s hips again, sliding up under the jacket and his sweater. His cool fingers met hot skin and Jaejoong jerked and laughed, pushing warm breaths against his face.
Jaejoong took off Yunho’s glasses and reached behind him to set them down on his bedside table. His lips were cold from the rain and Yunho was determined to kiss them warm.
He reached up and pulled down the zipper of the jacket so he could wrap his arms around Jaejoong’s waist and pull him closer, even though this part of him was very warm already.
Jaejoong’s tongue explored his mouth, soft and slow but insistent, tangling with his and escaping again.
Yunho opened his own coat and let Jaejoong push it off his shoulders. He slid down a bit and moved his hands over Jaejoong’s back. Jaejoong rolled his hips and moaned into his mouth.
Yunho pushed his hands into the back pockets of Jaejoong’s jeans and pulled him closer like that.
When they couldn’t possibly get any closer without removing layers and every part of their bodies was warm, they started to take off more clothes.
Jaejoong let himself fall onto his back and wrapped Yunho up in his his arms and legs. Yunho trailed soft kisses down his neck. Jaejoong arched off the bed, impatient. Yunho moved his kisses up again before he pushed in.
Jaejoong’s hot, naked body under him, the sound of the rain growing stronger outside; when Yunho’s head went light, it certainly wasn’t because of the alcohol anymore.
They were lying in Jaejoong’s bed, chest to back. Outside, the rain had gone silent and the wind took over. Yunho pressed a kiss to Jaejoong’s neck. His nose was tickled by strands of sexily messy hair.
“Love you,” Jaejoong mumbled, breath slowing.
In the upcoming winter, Jaejoong would push his scarf down to steal kisses and name a snowman after him.
When spring came, they’d take long walks in the park and watch nature wake up.
And during the summer, Jaejoong would rest his head in his lap when he’d sit down on the grass to read.
Yunho could see it all happen, and he knew it would turn out to be even better than he imagined.
