Every time the Spice Girls comes on at a party, I feel down. Everyone goes fucking crazy. Every girl knows the words, every girls knows the dance from the music video. Oh, except me. Every time one of their songs plays and the Spice Girl mania begins, I feel like I missed out on something important and iconic just because I was raised differently. I feel like I need to sit down and memorize the lines and study the videos to feel accepted and not like a total fucking weirdo. Even when friends offer to teach me everything it makes me feel like a foreigner. "Oh hello! Welcome to our country, this is how we dance here, let me teach it to you so you can fit in."
