Tango and the Merchant
Last night was the Oxfam Exec dinner at Tango. It was such a super nice place, I didn't know if I was being rude or not. LOL I had no idea what a "tapa" was and I was too embarrassed to ask in case it was like common restaurant knowledge. I was so starving and it was the smallest thing they could have brought me. LOL Laura (my new partner for my new campaign - I was moved to For All) shared her fries with me - yeah food came with fries at a nice expensive restaurant lol.
During dinner, Courtney gave me this smug look and said "Instead of studying when we get home... wanna go to the Merchant and invite Nik and Alex?"
Uhm, YES.
Except I had to figure out how money was going to work. I was paying debit at Tango but it was cheap (since it was NOTHING) and I hadn't bought groceries in a while so my dad probably won't call and tell me to stop spending money. But he WILL if he sees a pub on my account. Courtney made a tab for me, though, for these kinds of situations. She's very good about lending her money and I intend to pay her back in full ASAP. Perhaps even with a tip. XD
Of course, I immediately got really self conscious about how good I looked, etc, Courtney was really dressed up for Tango and I was not. I was wearing a dress with jeans and Chucks.
It turned out Nik couldn't make it anyway. Alex said he had an exam he was stressing about. We didn't learn that until I'd been coaxed into 4 whiskey sours. LOL I figured he wouldn't come on such short notice around finals but I stayed at the Merchant because I was still with friends and having fun. :D
I need to study hardcore today. Exam is tomorrow night. I've only got like 3 or 4 more lectures to get through. If I keep my mind off of Nik, I will be A-Ok.
