A word about Twilight

Nov 21, 2008 12:53

I'm trying to get excited about the Twilight movie but it's very difficult. People are in love with the series, but I'm not sure they read it closely enough to see that Edward is a tool. The whole series hype is like that rumour about the guy who bumped into someone, and then it turns into that he pushed someone and then it turns into that he picked someone up and threw them in front of a car. It just escalates until people are saying "it's better than Harry Potter" and all of this nonsense. Shut up, it isn't even comparable to Harry Potter.

That's not to say that I don't like the series because I do, I really do. I just don't think it's worth all of this hype. I just think people want something to get excited about and this series is pretty popular, so why not blow it out of proportion? It's too huge. I see Twilight books and posters and such EVERYWHERE. It drives me crazy.

I would also like to throw out the fact that I didn't like Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory, and I still don't like him. He's not that hot.

I just wanted to get this out of my head and into some sort of entry. Lala. I'm done.

I'm watching the movie with Larraine and Kaelen this evening.
