I saw
The King's Speech a couple of days ago. Even though it had a 96% rating on
Rotten Tomatoes (with 146 reviews), it was still more interesting and entertaining than I expected.
The Ontario Film Review Board's
rating system goes like this: G - PG - 14A - 18A - R
The Motion Picture Association of America's
rating system goes like this: G - PG - PG-13 - R - NC-17
Here, the movie was rated PG. In the US, it received an automatic R simply for multiple uses of the word "fuck", which were used because the protagonist was frustrated about his stuttering.
Stupid.
And they're really reaching with the "Frightening/Intense Scenes" section in the IMDB
parental guide.
