For those of you lured by the siren song of streaming media convenience, "Stop Watching Anime and Go Outside!" was uploaded to YouTube recently. Their player has changed, and it seems to hang my browser (Firefox) less often at home. One thing that bugs me about YouTube is the pointless duplication -- there are at least 19 copies of Senshi On Springer there.

Then there's the relatively new Stage6. They want you to install some streaming plugin, but you can just download the DivX file from the page. (scroll down to find a greasemonkey script) I find it amusing that "Anime" is already the #1 tag on the site.

I submitted an entry to AMV Hell: TekkoshoCon Edition a little while ago. It won the round, but I don't think many people are entering. It sort of started as a "rogue event", it seems. Anyway, the music someone suggested for that week was the full version of the Clone High theme song. Clone High is a pretty funny cartoon that was introduced to me by krk about cloned historical figures all attending a high school. Unfortunately, only one season was produced and it ends on a cliffhanger.

deuceloosely, who runs the contest said for an additional challenge, don't use Evangelion. I thought the more obvious (or at least more entertaining) choice was to use characters with superdeformed counterparts, given that the clones are younger than their historical counterparts. (at the age that they became famous) The audio shifts gears at the end since I wanted to cram something in under the 30-second limit. Thanks to ashyukun for the first scene. I don't have that DVD yet. :)
