Karasuma Miho
"...but those are the basics, and I'm sure you're going to improve with time," Karasuma consoled, patting the dejected blonde girl on the back. "That wasn't...bad... for a civilian who's never trained to be a Hunter. It could have gone better, but passing your field certification at all should be considered an accomplishment."
"You've got your classification, and we'll deal with any other paperwork later. Besides, there's someone here to pick you up," Karasuma said, nodding towards the office door. "We can do the full orientation once you're back from school."
Dōjima Yurika
"Haaaaaaaaaai!" Dōjima crowed, giving off a smart salute that made the older woman laugh. Pick her up? If Romeo had been stupid enough to come here she was going to kill him. "Must be my father's driver. Although I haven't called for the car yet..." she trailed off as she turned, catching a glimpse of the dark brown hair and feminine build. "Oh. My. God. Tōko!"
She launched herself at the other girl, laughing as she twirled her around. "Look at you! All suited up and professional-looking! Kakko ee de! How shocking!"
Masaki Tōko
"Not all of us are in high school anymore, Yuri-chan," Tōko laughed as she hugged her friend. "You forget, I'm almost four whole years older than you! Some of us have to go out and get respectable jobs, instead of party all the time and bounce from school-to-school. I heard a vicious rumor you might actually graduate!"
Dōjima
"Lies and slander," Dōjima said airily, waving one hand. "The Americans just have such shockingly low education standards that even I can't get tossed out. Did you know they don't run clubs in the summer? I was a complete lazy-bones, I swear. Mōkarimakka?"
Masaki Tōko
"You can tell me all about it over lunch," Tōko assured her. "Especially that pretty American boy of yours that you made it into the paper with a few months ago."
"Yes, I saw that," she said, grinning at Dōjima's moan of dismay. "The whole country did. Your father was furious for weeks from what Franco was saying."
She turned and bowed to the other woman, who was watching them with a bemused smile. "I'll take her off your hands from here, Karasuma-san."
Karasuma Miho
"Go! Both of you!" Karasuma laughed, waving them off. "Have fun, and I'll see you in August, Dōjima-san."
Dōjima
Dōjima whirled around to bow, grinning madly. "Domo arigato gozimasu, Karasuma-sama! I look forward to working with you! Jaaaaaaaaaa!"
Giggling, she spun back around to grab Tōko's hand and start tugging her towards the elevator when a tall, looming, person collided with her, continuing on to Zaizen's office without stopping.
Amon. Zaizen's creature, from what SOLOMON Intelligence had gleaned. One of those Hunters that loathed himself for what he was, almost as much as he hated anything that had to do with the Craft.
Weak, really.
Dōjima brushed past him, keeping a bored look on her face. "Who's the Gloom Cloud?" she stage-whispered to Tōko, projecting just enough so she could be sure Amon heard it. "Looks like he ate a rotten daikon!"
Masaki Tōko
"That would be Amon, the field-leader for your team," Tōko teased, pushing the button for the elevator. "So you better watch those comments, Yuri-chan."
"He's also my boyfriend."
Dōjima
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? Sore honma? You didn't tell me this!" Dōjima squealed, grabbing on to Tōko's arm with unfeigned excitement. "What is this? You never give me any good gossip anymore, not since you started that dreadful office job, and I've got to rely on Rei of all people for the good club info. Which, what is this I hear about you being a responsible adult and staying home at night...?
