Room 503, Afternoon

Between her shopping adventures earlier this week, and the upcoming date for Friday, Yurika was in a fabulous mood.  Which is why she was singing along, loudly, to her ipod as she flipped through fashion magazines with determination.  She has got to find something to wear.

Naminé peered in the open doorway, smiling again at her little sibling's enthusiasm. "Having a good day, then?"

"Hai!" she said, sitting up and removing her headphones. "Ohaiyo, Naminé! The Land of Pretty finally came through, I have a date!"

"Oh, wonderful!" Naminé beamed. "Who are you going with, do I know him? I need to get a dress, myself; I've been toying with ideas. A masquerade ball. I've never been to one before."

[dojima_hime]

"Romeo," Dōjima said, smiling. "I'm looking for a dress right now."

She patted the spot next to her on the bed. "Hop up! We can pick something out!"

"Oh, your co-parent!" Naminé laughed, taking a seat next to Dōjima and tucking her legs underneath. "He seems very sweet. Are you going as friends, or is this a date?"

[dojima_hime]

Dōjima opened her mouth, then shut it, brow furrowing in confusion. "I'm not sure 'cause it's still getting played out, omg. He didn't say it wasn't a date?"

"Do you want it to be a date?" Naminé asked, eyes dancing. "If so, find an exquisite dress and wonderful shoes and make him faint dead away with how gorgeous you look."

Fandom had been a very bad influence on Naminé.

"Naminé!" She pretended to be shocked for all of two seconds before she burst into giggles. "I always have wonderful shoes, it's my secret power."

"I don't know. Either way, it will be fun, right?" Yurika flopped backwards on to her pillows and grinned. "Lots of fun, if everything goes well."

"I haven't," Naminé confessed. "And I'm fighting down this terrible urge to be very dramatic and showy at the dance. I think perhaps the performer is rubbing off on me. How awful."

She blushed at that. "The sort of fun that ... means you have to be sure the dress isn't too hard for a boy to undo?"

[dojima_hime]

"Ah, the boyfriend!" Yurika wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "Be so completely fabulous that everyone is wickedly jealous of him. That's my plan, at least."

"Isn't that the best kind of fun?" she asked as she sat up, laughing at the blushing. "Stay away from lots of buttons, or go with something that can be pushed up easily. That's my motto, anyway."

Naminé laughed. "This was my suggestion. The ball. It's his birthday, and the evening will be full of masks and faces he recognizes. And I ... I think I'd like to be something exquisite."

She blushed, harder. "Sometimes ... the more intricate outfits ... can be fun," she confessed. "The anticipation and the fumbling at the clasps and the hurried sort of rush to it all."

[dojima_hime]

"Naughty!" Yurika exclaimed gleefully. "I love it! Just so long as you aren't in so much of a hurry that you forget the important bits."

Naminé laughed a bit at that. "Such as locking the door? We're roommates now, we needn't remove anyone else from view. That's useful."

[dojima_hime]

"Never underestimate the power of drunk people to wander into the wrong room," Yurika scolded. "Lock the door anyway. You also should at least make sure you aren't ripping the dress, and that he's 'good to go', if you know what I mean"

"I do," Naminé blushed. "Because that would be horribly embarrassing and ... if he's tugging at your clothes, isn't he already ... er. Good to ... go?"

[dojima_hime]

"Well, not unless he prepped earlier, and that's just silly. It could fall off anytime." She shook her head. "I usually carry a few in my purse, so that I don't have to worry about him remembering."
