Rep A side!
So I'm in Philly, all moved into my dorm. It's looking pretty good. The living room is conveniently color coordinated, as is the bathroom. I still haven't unpacked everything but that's because I can't stand being in my dorm for too long because of the heat. I sweat standing.
College isn't all the amazingness I had heard it would be...yet. I've been in orientation for 5 days and I start class today (at 4) which I'm soo ready for. It's just been hard lately because I've been trying to meet people and find out what to do on my downtime (which I've had a lot of). I have my depressing periods but I get over them. I miss Adam so much it makes my stomach hurt. I've made some cool friends with people in my hall and met a lot of other neat people, but not hung out with them or been remembered by them. It sucks when I want to do something at night but don't know what to do. I've been to a party with Sarah Ritch and Sade which was a mind trip and that was OK, but I don't know of parties going on generally other than dorm parties which=bad.
I just want to not be a freshman anymore and I want to be able to come back to school and see all my friends and know the parties goin on and go out. I want to see some theatre. Really badly. I can get sweet student discounts but none of the shows are open yet.
I can't wait for class to start. I'll meet lots of people who will end up being friends, and I can't wait to start working with my teachers and getting work and working hard and learning things and pushing myself. I'm sooo bummed because I tried to add a modern class yesterday, but the only one I can take is Wednesday at 5:30 and my one Wednesday class ends at 5:50. I'm really sad about that. I wish I could add another ballet class too. I just don't have enough dance classes.
I haven't bought any Starbucks yet which I'm really proud of myself for. In fact, I've only bought 3 things since I've been here, 2 of which have been food. I haven't cooked at all yet but will start. There are 2 guys on my floor who cook a lot and I'm hoping they will teach me and we can cook together. Antonio is my fav.
I would love to get mail!! It's a great feeling when you see mail in your box.
