waaaaaah i'm dating a boy who i knew was in a touring band before we started dating but somehow i go into complete shock and sadness when he leaves on the weekends to play shows waaaaaaaaah pity me.
actually, i'm just bummed because he's been gone EVERY weekend in january. don't believe me? i'll send you a picutre of our calendar. you can also see how february's full save for one weekend and march is looking like the same thing. i guess i kind of knew it would be like this, but it doesn't change me being sad about it. next weekend, though. next weekend! chicago. good times will be had in chicago.
speaking of good times, they were had at our house last night when black cross played. my soup was excellent. i was a little drunk. i was supposed to go see them again in louisville tonight, but i got up early with derek and when i layed back down, i slept until 318. i was supposed to leave around 2. oops. oh well. i think i will stay home tonight. get some movies and exercise my right to retail therapy.
i'm down almost 8 pounds since early last week. it's amazing what can happen when you stop stuffing your face.
i heard the luella bartley line for target is out now. perhaps i will go up there and check it out. for those who don't know who luella bartley is, now you know the answer to why you've been so unfulfilled all these years. maybe i'll go to sephora too and get pretty things. derek HATES when i wear makeup, yet somehow i'm obsessed with cosmetics. i suppose that's aveda's fault. i'm lucky to have a boyfriend who prefers me au naturelle. actually, he prefers me in my underwear, unshowered for 2 days. seriously, i don't think i could be any luckier.
i also have a lot of homework to do. i have a paper to write, lots of french and linguistics work, a TON of philosophy, and i'm about to start my first kind of big anthropological research project. i get to do fieldwork and everything. FIELDWORK!

i'll be going back to memphis soon to finish up my tattoo. last session!
