Aaron_kwok concert 09
I can't believe i bote tix for the Aaron_Kwok concert when i knew less than a handful of his songs. (Thanks to the final push by HP who watched it in TW.)
And i am so glad i went for it!!
The record breaking 480 degree rotating stage was awesome awesome.
Imagine a rectangular stage that can turn 180 degrees in a circle on the ground....
then imagine the stage elevated up up up...and then turning 360 degrees on an axis!
Hats off to the designer and all 150 crew. Must have been a nightmare and prob cost a fortune to set it up!
10 most memorable things
1. Crew disappeared "backstage" in the most obscure and elegant way possible
2. Lighting play on the square stage was uber cool.
3. The boxes on the stage doubled up as "showcase windows". Brilliant. There is even an "elevator" in there.
4. Waterways on all 4 sides of the stage was a brilliant touch.
5. After all these years, AK still cannot speak Chinese. I could understand him better in Cantonese.
6. After all these years, his singing hasnt improved either. I lost track of how many times he went off key.
7. AK has a super lame sense of humour. He named this bling bling suit of his "爱的战衣" (meaning the armour of love)
8. The first costume was especially memorable. He looked like a chicken wearing underwear on his chest.
9. Loved the old school dances of dui bi ai bu wan and para para. Awesome!
10. And i realised i knew more songs than i expected!! A grand total of 7! An Jing de Zou Kai was fantastic.
I'd be v interested to see how AK is gonna up the level of this one up!
