Day 5: 28 Dec
Breakfast at Zhou Shi Jia Juan.
Nice!! The fritter was v well made, with the right amount of flavour and crispiness, without the greasy feel and with fresh succulent prawns inside.
Took a day trip out to tour the Yan2 Shan1 (Salt Mountain) in the suburbs of Tainan.
Beautiful weather there, but ....i didn't see any salt. haha.
The "mountain" was supposed to be filled up with salt, so much that you can run up...but what i saw was...:
Sigh. only specks of white here and there...=(
Prob cos it was winter and it was wet...
Most of the other attractions were not on for some reason too.
Went off for some bird watching near Yan Shan, except that the only birds we managed to see was at the entrance:
Visited the An Ping Gu Bao after that...
It was refurbished, and i think the feel of the "gu bao" was lost in the process. sigh.
At the watch tower, we were gona take a photo at the stairs.
SH: Jason, ask yur mama to turn over.
HS (to her mama): Mama, turn over.
Sh and i just stood stunned there, and laughed for the longest time...haha.
It was hiliarious. Luckily, HS's mama didn't hear her...
Jason must be wondering why all of us started laughing all of a sudden.
A tree with crutches!
An Ping Lao Jie:
I love all the lao jie in TW.
The infamous 棺材板.
Quite good. Its bread with corn soup inside.
Our 2nd night market in Tainan:
My fave quail eggs!
And of course more games!
We actually won at the mahong tiles thing ;)
You had a pile of tiles to pick from, and you will win if you manage to form 5 tiles in a row.
Our hard earned prize, whee!
Day 6: 29 Dec
Went back TPE the following day..super convenient with the bullet train.
Lunch at a random stall at Shi Lin.
Went to Shi Lin night market to dabao some dinner..
Before heading up to yang ming shan again to soak in the hot springs. kimochiii!
