Took the first bus to the MRT, and there we go...off for our first trip outside of SG together!
After saying for the 1000th time that we should do so. Still the trip came earlier than expected, due to Shayle's flying back to SG to celebate her bdae serving to expedite the whole process. haha
CC had to work through the weekend, so there were four of us: Tian, JF, Shayle and me.

Off to Bintan on the Aria Bupula!
Cosy seats on the upper deck =)

We stayed at Angsana_Resort, and since its targetted at a diff crowd, there were no rowdy singaporeans there. hee.
Our cosy little room:

The pool looks v inviting, but the skies din look too good.

The beach which was just a stroll away..

But we were so hungry we could not stay any longer to take photos. =P
Went for lunch at the resort restaurant, which was exp but thankfully didnt burn too big a hole in our pockets.
Lobster risotto:

Seafood linguine:

Still dun beat the one at Pasta_Rustica though. =P

And what must have been the highlight of the day...our massage session!
We did our massage within the resort as well...it was in this pavilion like thing, and since it was raining heavily outside, we could hear the pitter patter of the rain plus feel the cool breeze...soothing! I loved the place.

And after the 1h massage session (which i tot could be longer still..), we hung ard drinking ginger tea and listening to the rain....

After our massage session, we went back to our room to continue our Taboo, not a v relaxing game after a massage session huh. Shortly after a phone call came, and we were told we won a free food voucher/hotel stay at BKK. BUT of cos it was those sales pitch sort of thing to ask you to join their golf membership. It involved a ride on a buggy ard the golf course and a sales presentation afterwards to qualify for the freebies.

Since we were relaxing and doing nothing much anyway, we decided to just go along.

The golf clubhouse..

And it was a brilliant decision to go along with the sales pitch. The gold course had such beautiful surroundings!

The little huts behind us belong to the Banyan_Tree...so nice right!

I love the tranquility of the place..

After the buggy ride, the guide asked us if we wanted to continue with the sales presentation.
We decided not to waste anymore of their time and said no. We didn't get the voucher of cos, but the ride was really well worth the time. =P

The guide also introduced us to the idola cafe for food, and he said its prob the best in the area.

Food was pretty good. The chicken was yummy and prices were reasonable, so it was a good recommendation after all. Plus we had a free shuttle arranged for us to and fro. =)

holiday, bintan
