OK, I was supposed to deliver the following speech on the morning announcements on Friday. Unfortunately, the teleprompter was not working and I was being told to hurry and finish, so it came out an inarticulate mess. The following is the reason I can't support the current president

Yeah, I guess you're right on that one, touche. (all southern jokes aside)
About Kerry not revealing his exact plan:
I admit that he has not revealed a clear plan. But I also stress that Bush has not revealed a clear plan and his actions have been questionable thus far. There is no question that now we are in Iraq, we must prevail (to use rhetoric) or win (to speak like a person). I find it hard to fault Kerry for not having an exactly clear plan. Once he becomes president and has access to world leaders and has the power to make decisions, I would expect and hope that he develop one quickly. But as of now, the only man who's RESPONSIBILITY it is to have a clear, exact, and pheasable plan, is the man who put us there. George W. Bush brought us into Iraq, and if even he can not think of a clear way to win, how can we expect someone else to?
About picking teams:
While if I had to label myself, I'd use the word democrat, I don't consider myself a stock "liberal." You're right about picking teams. It's bad for the country and George Washington knew it when he warned against political parties in his last speech as President. I'd like to think that my opinions are what I believe to be best for the country, regardless whether the man who will carry it out is wearing a red or blue tie.
My words to you, an undecided voter:
I realize neither candidate is perfect, or near perfect for that matter. But the simple fact is this. We've tried it with Bush for 4 years, and it is my belief that we are in a worse spot for it. You can chalk it up to uncontrolable events, but sometimes the captain has to go down with the ship. In the election following the stock market crash and the emergence into the great depression, Franklin Delino Roosevelt won by a landslide. Why? Just because he wasn't Hoover. He didn't have any clear plans. He just said "I can help. I have a plan." He was a fresh start. (and he ended up being one of the greatist presidents in our history). If for no other reason, vote against Bush so the fresh start is possible. We've tried it his way, and I don't like where we're going. Kerry at least represents an opportunity for change, and I think it would be for the better.
