TOGA SPIRIT DAY CANCELED AT WOOTTON DUE TO "INAPPROPRIATENESS"

Rockville, MD

The highly anticipated 'Toga Spirit Day' at Wootton High School has been canceled. This move was made due to an unnamed child development teacher's objection to the idea of "men in dress-like clothing."

Togas were worn every day in ancient Roman society and do not have separate pant holes for each leg, supposedly classifying them as "incredibly inappropriate in a school community."

Dr. Duran's official statement was, "ever since i saw the classic Animal House, I have been very partial to Togas, frankly, I was yelled at for hours on end by... hmmm... I'll just say S. Thorpe, and I was scared."

We placed a call to Thorpe's home in 1940's Germany, but, as she was making sure people were wearing yellow patches at the time, she had no comment.
