The secrets that we keep, we say them in our sleep
Anyone know that feeling that you get when spring comes each year? It's kind of a mix between excitement, relief, nostalgia and anxiety. I can't really explain it, but I get the exact saem feeling every year. Furthermore, when I think of my life last April, May beginning of June I get the feeling back. It's that feeling that always prompts me to make new friends, get to know people better, explore things I haven't before. It's a very good feeling. Last Spring I had jsut gotten my licence on March 18th, so everythign was really easy and independent for the first time. It was awesome. I also started working a lot to have muchos spending money last spring. This enabled me to buy every piece of clothing that cost under 7 dollars that Old Navy carries. I was so cool.
I think this springy feeling first comes when you get a day out of the blue where it is sunny and warm enough to wear a tank top... Generally speaking it is a day when we have rehearsal for the musical and everyone dreads going into the dark auditorium, but we suck it up. It never stays that warm, but it's a sign that warmth does, in fact, exist and it isn't just in our minds. It's litle things like htat... Last year I really remember getting a white skirt at EbLens and a Coconut Breeze car air freshner and listening to Counting Crows greatest hits CD and laing out on my back porch to get a tan. Oh man, I wish it were spring.
Lately, I've been getting this feeling. The problem is that it is February. There is no chance of getting that random hot day or that oppurtunity to tan on the deck until atleast late March. I can't even roll down the windows in my car yet. And it's not just me... Everyone has "spring fever" haha! WHEN IS IT COMING?!?!?!?
On a more realistic note, it is February vacation and I have the house to myself:). I have a rediculous amount of work to do, but I dont really care. Vacation has been "bomb". Friday went out with everyone (and bye "out" I mean to Jenna's and McDonald's) then slept over Xine's with Kase and Britt. Saturday i had kickboxing, rehearsala nd then I attended a very fun campfire at Emily's. It was so nice to reconnect with people I haven't hung out with in a while. I love all of them! I do not, however, love Emily's crazy neighbor Judy. She called the cops and 2 cop cars and 2 fire engines showed up! Next thing we know Mr. Callahan (the man) was heading back with about 4 firemen in full garb. When they saw our "cooking fire" they said it was no big deal and to have fun haha. Silly Judy. Then Sunday Was PIP at the Gallagher's! It was super super fun! Very laid back and entertaining! AND my good friend GREG who I love soooo much was jsut accepted to Georgia Tech! He is the man and I should really wrote about him more often in my LJ! Haha! Then alst ngiht I went to Dan's for another relaxing ngiht with teh whole gang... Watched Garden State, and missed Kasey b/c she wrote her paper. Then I slept at her house and all was well.
Well time for homework.
