Best Free Comic Book Day Ever

Yesterday was Free Comic Book Day. I spent too much money, but I am now caught up with The Irredeemable Ant-Man, Superman Confidential, Eisner Award winning All Star Superman, and Teen Titans.  I haven't actually gotten around to reading my free comic book yet (another Robert Kirkman title: The Astounding Wolf-Man, hehe). I also got Crisis Aftermath: The Battle For Bludhaven. I'm having a harder and harder time repressing my Bat-fangirl urges.

I also finally got around to reading the first issue of Dynamo 5. ZOMG Squee! It is soo cute and adorable and kickass. It's about the five illegitimate children of Dynamo Man (I think). His powers consisted of laser vision, flight, super strength, shape shifting and telepathy. These kids didn't meet each other until after his death and they're all goofy and cute with badass permutations of his powers. It's just way too awesome for words.

Also, I got the coolest thing ever in the history of the world yesterday. He's been sitting on the shelf, tempting and taunting me for a while now, and yesterday I succumbed. I purchased the Kryptonite Batman action figure. And it glows in the dark.  He is so unbelievably cool. Apparently he comes from a Superman and Batman storyline where Batman is taken over by a being of pure Kryptonite (however that works) who call himself Mr. Kryptonite and Batman becomes an evil Kryptonite based being bent of Superman's destruction. That's what I got off the back of the box anyway. But the coolest part is the glowing. There's none of that weak, yellowy pale glow crap for Kryptonite Batman. He glows a deep rich green, and he glows really really bright, he even glows in just dim light. My god he is amazing.

I also found a decent Superman action figure (finally! All the others had weird hair, popping veins arm and neck veins or looked constipated, which granted is kinda Supe's natural state). He has 20 points of articulation so I can point his toes and hum the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies in my head.

Now if only they would hurry up and bring my most precious precious baby Superboy back to life everything would be perfect.
