Re-reading Stint, I have to say, it feels - and I know this will apply only to me - but it feels underwritten. It's not of course. It's just less verbose than The Middle Distance. I think this is because with Distance I'm writing in a totally different way, in regards to approach, subject, result, structure, everything. With Stint, I intend to create a short drama, which I did. I dont know, I just feel a tad weird about it today. I mean, I know it works, I've seen it in front of an audience. I don't know why I'm feeling what I'm feeling. I also don't know what I'm feeling.
I do think it deserves an outing though. To see Jack, scriptless, inside his messy flat, would make me very happy. I cut Trent out (buh-bye) so Siobhan who played him played him in Trent's one and only outing. That's something new. Not "I played this character for a run" but "I played this character once, and then he ceased to exist". Heh.
I think the main reason I'm weirded out is because Stint is in 12pt and it just feels wrong to read, but then it's too short to have in 10pt. Ahh, the divine mysteries of life.
In other new, I have cute builders to stare at.
