(no subject)
so i'm thinking tattoos again. i've never stopped wanting more; it's been three years since my last one and i'm really feeling the itch. they're expensive, which is a concern, but the most important aspect is the meaning. i know lots of people who are covered in tattoos that have no meaning for them personally. they look cool and that's it. and if that's something you want, i have no issue with that. but for me, thus far, all of mine have meaning and i'd like to keep it that way.
currently i'm thinking of getting some version of the mayan tree of life (like this, kinda) going up my spine. my current tree of life will be wrapped in the roots of that tree which will have branches going out along the back of my ribcage. at the top of the tree i'm thinking of getting a buddhist-style lotus blossom (possibly like this) blooming out of the top branches.
i'm also considering getting the fish on my leg colored in to look a bit more like a yin-yang. it'd just be various degrees of shading, to make one darker and one lighter, but i think maybe that would work.
it'll take some time to settle on designs that i like and to make sure that it's what i want. but yeah, i think these are close.
