Obama: Gay marriage semi-suport (civil unions; Kucinich was the ONLY candidate that supported full marriage rights for the GLBT community), wants to start pulling troops OUT of Iraq and afghanistan, tax cuts for middle and lower wage earners, cut out dependance on foreign oil by pursuing new energy sources and bio-fuels.
McCain: Against gay marriage at all, put MORE troops there and be there for another 50+ years, tax cuts for the wealthy (again!), wants to try offshore drilling (I'm pretty sure we do that already.)
The health plan is shot to hell here anyway, we don't really have much over the Canadians Liz, the only difference is shorter wait times. Though, I could certainly be wrong here, since I'm not well versed on either system's inner workings.
They both suck on social security, which is to be expected, and I'm fairly certain there's no way it's going to get fixed with out money situation the way it is.
Obama has been associated with rascist people certainly, but then again, so has every single president at some point or other. The difference is that Obama's are black, and he has officially broken ties with his church now. Personally, I don't care about that, just because his PASTOR is rascist, doesn't mean he is.
McCain hangs out with all the old southern people, no rascists there at all, right? He's also had his fair share, one of the pastors that supports him said that "the holocaust was God's way of having the Jews ascend to heaven" um... no... thanks but no thanks.
So they both have issues.
I'm voting Obama currently, though I could still be swayed to write in Kucinich. I will NOT be giving my vote to Bush 3.0 (Bush Sr?)
So those are my cases, laid out for your consideration. ^_^ enjoy.
