I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice in my post here.
After reading your comments, I realized we had gone about everything the wrong way. Instead of calming her down, we were making her more anxious! Once I realized this, I took on a new attitude towards her barking. She doesn't annoy me nearly as much! Now when she barks, we go over to her and pet her and say nice things in nice voices. No more yelling. :)
