My leg is feeling awesome.  I have been riding the bike at work religiously to strengthen it and on occasion I’ll go on an hour walk at lunch to work different muscles around the knee.  From time to time I’ll get some arthritis pain but that is NOTHING compared to what I used to deal with before July 27th 2009.  I’m thinking of celebrating my birthday this year on the 27th instead of the 14th because I feel like I was reborn to my early 20’s.

While in the gym working my leg on the bike I make sure that I push my cardio.  My body is starting to shape up; I have not been this “small” in longer than I can really remember.  I’m also working on my core and using resistance to get my upper body toned up a bit.  I’m feeling good about myself for a change, it’s nice.

One of the fences in my back yard is coming to the end of it’s life.  My neighbor’s insurance came out and is cutting him a check to get it replaced.  I called my insurance and they just dealt with me on the phone and told me that, basically, unless the entire fence comes down in a storm, each section will cost me my deductible so fuck that.  I guess I have to wait until a big storm comes and takes it down as a whole.  Roommate situation is a bit up in the air.  Might have to find new renters in a couple months, wooo….  Nothing real bad, just life needs to progress for em all.

Because my leg is feeling so much better, I am getting out more.  I go to the bar for every UFC fight, I have been going out clubbing again, and I even went out and hit some golf balls last night.  I’m back ‘on the market’ so to speak.  Dated a girl from work for a couple weeks but I ended it before it got too involved, I saw it wouldn’t work and cut it before it became an issue.  I liked her quite a bit but I knew she was trying to force it and I would only get hurt in the long run.  It’s the first time I’ve made a decision like that and actually went through with it.  It felt empowering.  I think I finally know what I’m looking for and what I’m not willing to compromise on and I’m okay with the idea that it might take me a long time to find something that works for me.  What I am trying to do now is go out and meet some people and see if anything takes off, if not, no biggie, onto the next.  I’m just going to try doing this as an adult, trying to avoid the pitfalls of the mistakes when I was younger.

I have actually started playing World of Warcraft again.  I like the changes they have made to the game.  Don’t know if they will keep me playing but I put two months of play time on my account, we’ll see.  I started a new character on a new server and its not too bad.  I still have Vic on Uther and will decide which server is going to be my home once I get this new character to 80 and play him a bit, see if I like the server and all that jazz.

Oh, went fishing a couple weeks ago and caught a sturgeon.  Haven’t grilled any of it yet because I got sick (a 2 week cold, fuck that).  But I am going to thaw it soon and try it out, never had/cooked it before so it should be interesting.
