King Edward the confessor and me...

King Edward the Confessor once wrote... "we are but figures in a tapestry. it is of our own free will that we shape the course our life is to take, and sometimes we work knowingly to 'god's' great design; but it is we who hold the needle and move the thread. sometimes we stray from the course we know to be right, and have to unpick what we have done, if we can...we are the weavers and we are the tapestry..."

i have a very bad habit of unpicking the threads of my life that seem to be sewn straight. i think it's because, for the most part, my 'tapestry' is made up of crooked stitches, and if i left the straight ones in, the crooked ones would seem so much worse.
