Time flies
I read in the papers, I think it was yesterday about this story about the two Manly boys, Matai and Choc Watmough. It's just pathetic really. I read another, more recent article with a picture of them both after the incident took place, and both of them just look dead. I mean i know that there's always two sides to a story, but everyone's saying that it was unprovoked. Provoked or unprovoked, I know normally these boys are bad news both on and off the field but like honestly, Matai was left unconcious. It was so bad that Choc had to act as a human shield in order to protect Matai. That's sad. I don't like the way Choc behaves, but for a guy that big and tough to be beaten up like that... those three thugs must want some attention. Whatever the case is I hope both the boys get better soon. Normally, I don't get that shocked by hearing off field stories regarding boys from the NRL, but maybe that's because normally none of the boys involved end up in hospital. I think in the subtlest way possible, my respect for Choc has increased, only slightly. He said he feared for Matai's life, now that's got to be serious. Well, the best we can hope for is that the NRL takes some serious action against these three thugs and brings some closure to this case, whatever the truth is.
