Here I am. Sitting on a cushion on the floor of the adorable kitchenette of my new apartment next to the only three-pronged outlet in the upstairs that I am inhabiting. I am exhausted from working then playing basketball then taking a long hot bath with Lee [our bathroom is showerless] but all I want to do is tackle this ridiculous mess of a room so that Elise and I may exist in a harmonious environment. The downstairs is a whole 'nother apartment containing a full kitchen and bath as well as our living room, nook and Lee and Gene's bedrooms. There's even a creepy Michigan basement that contains a washer and dryer as well as the location where herb is smoked [in which I won't be participating for another four months]. Elise and I are sharing what would be the living room if it weren't our bedroom and Josh is in the official bedroom upstairs. I am really thrilled to see where this location takes us.

Our house is on Pearl Street [a block up from my old apartment on Beech Street] which is super close to NCMC where I will be taking English Composition II, Lewis & Tolkien, Waging Peace and Fiber & Textile Design. Of course I did not sign up for these until a week before they begin on September 4th, so I am shocked and thrilled that I was able to obtain such enjoyable classes of which only one is an elective.

On Thursday after seeing the Young Americans' dinner theatre at Boyne Highlands I was commandeered by Lee, Elise, Andy and Liz who were on their way to Sturgeon Bay. As we neared the shore, we began to strip our clothes in the car until, upon arrival, we were completely naked and prepared to refresh our bodies and souls in the moonlit bay. This is the first time I have ever been skinny dipping. We played Chicken, made a Sand Angel, covered ourselves in mud, sat in a sand castle pond, smoked cigarettes, swam and swam and swam.
I'll be doing that again.
