Chapter 52 b): More exploring
Thanks to all my plans failing I had still three more days left in Osaka! Next big stop: The
Aquarium! I can't tell a lot about it, because it was just a simple aquarium visit..
At the entrance you have the chance to get your photo taken with a real whale shark!
(Later at the end of the tour they offer prints of the photos they take with their professional camera for 1.000¥. I... couldn't resist, their print looked so good! I framed and put it on the piano at home)
What's a sloth doing in an aquarium??!? It's like "Guys why are you doing this to me srsly" oh god ; ^;
Also penguins! I found the compound a bit too narrow for such a quantity of penguins. Anyway this one looks like the Suica mascot.
Dunno why this dolphin started to lick his lips everytime he saw me.
Taking pictures of moving sealife is pretty hard I tell ya.
Here's the pride of the Kaiyukan: Whale sharks! I think they have three of them? Their tank is really huge.
Something I didn't know: The manta ray can roll up those fins like a trunk :0
These crabs go perfect with my K♥A♥T♥A♥M♥A♥R♥I
Jelly fish are obligatory in any aquarium because they're so easy to keep, I guess.
Baby metroids.
"I am SO fuckin pissed...!!!"
There were a lot more interesting creatures but I didn't take photos of all of them. Most of the time it was just too dark, too difficult - or in the case of the ocean sunfish it was too creepy. Sure they look like giant round fish that's what you may say. But do you know why you never get a frontal view of them on pictures? And to think that the father's restaurant in "Rock'n'Roll Kids" was named "Mambo" (= sunfish)... uuuu
At the end there's of course a souvenir shop where I bought a few whale shark items for my cousin. Though not the giant sized plushies! Those cost a fortune!
I liked the aquarium quite a lot, but it would have been so much better if I hadn't been all alone :T
