Awww now that I'm back home it doesn't feel so special anymore. But hell
did I miss christmas
last year...! We've all been very busy recently, especially with my mom working in church - inarguably the epicentre of christmas!
This afternoon, my sister and I decorated the christmas tree together. God we have way too many stuff to put on it. If you don't know already, we've ammassed quite the collection of ornaments over the years. Because we hardly do balls. Our tree is nothing but crocodiles, wild animals, sea life, birds, some santas and one particularly precious King Kong glomping the Empire State Building (acquired in New York). After my mother and my sister returned from the mass, we've had delicious fish terrine as always and then exchanged presents. Unlike me, my family decided to only go out to buy presents TODAY so I didn't get anything I wanted :TTTT
I mean okay I'm quite specific with my
wishlist but I also only wish for easy and affordable things! I also hate receiving books because my mother keeps buying me books she chooses by back covers and I ALWAYS end up not liking them. So what did I get this year? A book I probably don't like (can't tell yet), the German (orz!!) version of Beedle the Bard, some socks (I needed socks), and some fab telephone receiver you plug into your mobile and then it looks like you're hiding a fifty year old phone in your bag when you pull it out in public. My mother bought it off a colleague, but unfortunately it doesn't work on my current phone. She did order a new one for me as a loyalty bonus for extending my contract, but the delivery got fucked up :T At least it's gonna be a mobile with an USB port... After that she wrote me coupons for a game and a book of my choice and maybe a camera but that's kinda not the point of the presents ritual... :T
Oh well I bought an album with photos of Australia for my sister, the latest Grisham for my father and two CDs by Till Brönner for my mother. OH and Phoenix Wright 2 for myself. Because even Maxi can only rely on Maxi :T
Anyways!
The last christmas songs this year, promise. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!
