If I can see, I can do.
That's what I am looking for.
When it comes to drawing, it's nice to see improvement in short time IMO. It proves that if i take something seriously, I get better. I am often reminded of "practice makes perfect", but you need to take the pragmatic way to see its truth.
I look back at old works, which seems to be luck.
Original Lionet Soma by Toei's Umakoshi Yoshihiro -
I think this is my first time with Souma-
Another Souma after who knows how many times (most recent) Since I've been practicing this "Seiya style" (Araki, Umakoshi style), the curl can't seem to leave my hand ;) but I'm determined to get it because it's so pretty. Just look up the artists; I am envious. Trying to see it as a commitment, sketch at least once a day.
As for portrait, I still have problem. The schematics are the same for all vertebrate, or anything standing up on two legs or like a human. However, light/shadow still poses a problem for me.
But, despite how strongly I believe in what I'm doing, I feel like I'm making a mistake or heading towards a more difficult road if I "make a living" as an author or artist. I guess everyone goes for jack of all trades or business, but isn't the latter very universal? Especially when it comes to representation.
As of now, life hasn't changed.
It's probably just tough for me to commit to planning due to babysitting and work. Also, I need to write an appeal.
