What can be reasons as to why someone doesn't care for an opinion of another. He/she:
- Doesn't want to pointlessly argue back and forth
- Has mind set on what's the truth
- Has quickly decided on the impression of the other
- He/she is in love
- Too busy
- Established a circle of friends
- Is upset
- Professional in a particular area of knowledge
Opinion ≠ discourse? So don't talk to you? Hey if you can have one, and you say something insulting in the middle of it, I can say something about it. And it's just a silly thing to go by on Twitter, a broad interactive service. And how is that good for networking?
I'm looked down again? I don't think being angry is beneficial, but I forget that there's jerks out there who get the recognition for looking pompous and elaborate. I had this talk before.
Isn't knowledge the best weapon? Twitter seems to be a magnifying glass on people's social lives. A subjective cesspool; either your best friend or worse enemy.
Then again, on Twitter, I don't often speak of what I know or do, so I guess it's easy to see me as a nobody or some highly-opinionated kid. I've been pretty casual. It's almost like here on this blog. Like I said in previous entry, one of my top tags is "videos".
I was suddenly reminded of an article about a
Duke Professor put on leave After posting racially-charged comments (On Reason.com it says
he's been on leave so no discipline). Why? Because he IS a teacher and he meant what he said with a fixed conscious.
And it's not that it's just radical, but saying "that people with strange names aren't for integration" (or something along those lines) can be xenophobic as well. He said he spoke the truth. If he'd post this as a thesis, he'd potentially leave out many historical Americans just because current events has left a bitter taste in our mouths, and he can teach this onto others. He said some things that we probably thought of before.
But that is to challenge.
I'm probably not making sense at all.
That also reminds me, seeing someone on fanfiction.net putting "Don't review my stories" in their profile.
Certainty, a review can have aimless material. It can be not a review, which is to assess what you read. It can be a flame for example, but there's no application to prevent reviews. So if you "review", that author will punish you for it.
INTERESTING WEEKEND
I have kittens in my side yard (where I have an exit window with stairs from downstairs to surface), so I just let their mom take care of them. It is a charming sight for someone who is more into dogs. Been seeing mama wandering around my area many times before.
