Prudent or I lost my nerve?

Weather sucks. Super polar Michigan land. I don't think I'm comfortable driving until peak Spring. Even when the sun is out, I don't want to push on the gas too much due to the accident.

Considering my poor entries recently, maybe I should blog something good. I seriously wanted to throw some chairs yesterday.

Anyways, I've been considering on purchasing FINAL FANTASY TACTICS. Oh wow, the PSP website just gave me nostalgic goosebumps. It has been a long time that I've played the game, and it's one of the games that I have an urge to return to. The same goes with Legend of Zelda: Windwaker.

However, I read a couple of reviews on FFT that criticized it, and they made me remember a few things about the game such as the lack of character non-combat interaction (during travel. Doesn't seem important. Less than Tactics Orge??), bad ally AI, useless spell casting due to enemy movement and time casting (HASTE! HASTE!), and of course the difficulty. Also, the party members are limited and the enemy can outnumber you, which is unfair. I like being attached to my party especially since you can hire/recruit the members.

I didn't get far enough to get immersed into the story. I can't even remember what happened in Vagrant Story.

TO quote a reviewer: "Fire Emblem is tactics". I have to agree there. FE is dangerous!

But I think FFT is in the same league as Monster Hunter: the difficulty bugged me so much that I want to push myself to succeed against it. Push myself to practice, and to return to what I didn't complete, to return to what I desired because I felt like I was playing a potentially good game.

I also played FFT Advance which was equally addicting. The story was shallow, but I guess I got sucked in by my "hard work syndrome". I like to be rewarded.

Just like recently in Monster Hunter: Got me a rare bowgun frame for entering a dangerous environment and surviving ^-^; MH is annoying that it makes me collecting materials over and over again for particular weapons/armor, which means hunting so many big monsters and hoping that I get them. Ugh. However, I am doing great against Lagiacrus. I am improving. That's what I like: Proof that I can improve.

I'll make my decision tomorrow. bill time...

My paycheck stinks and I want to get Windwaker and Skyward Sword. Maybe Okami and Muramasa. there's still a lot of older games I haven't played. Even in the Pokemon Series.

Remember my seiyu meme? Day 11's question was: The seiyuu with the best singing voice.

Here's my Horie Mitsuko (堀江 美都子). The theem is called "Growing Up", the opening to "My daddy Long Legs", based on the novel of the same name. Horie starred in three World Masterpiece Theater shows, singing for them. In MDDL, she voices Judy. I think I want the soundtrack.
