not a whole lot has been happening....went to the G8 Alternatives summit in Edinburgh on sunday which was well worth it. A lot of really good speakers on a variety of topics.
George Galloway has the ability to engage an audience like no other politician does. The 'Resisting War, Resisting Imperialism' and the 'Attack on Civil Liberties and the War on Terror' plenaries were the highlights of the day, after the disgrace of Live8 it showed that there are intelligent alternatives rather than the dumbed down slogans of Sir Geldof and Sir Bono. Tomorrow is the opening of the G8 summit, given the police response in edinburgh yesterday it should make for an interesting day.
