Grade A, cronopio cronopio

The sky is dark like it's 8:00 at night, but it's only 4. Or like it's still 4 but it's November. There's ash in the sky from the 50+ wildfires in Quebec, but at least the rainstorms have been good for putting out the flames. Just no more lightning.

I washed the windows -- except for the kitchen, the pantries and the bedroom -- yesterday in the sun. I made the cleaning solution from a recipe my mom gave me. I used a funnel to get the ammonia and vinegar and water into the spray bottle. Good thing, because it smelled AWFUL and I'd hate to have it all over the kitchen floor or myself. We have the kind of windows that unhook and let you pull them in to clean the outside side of the pane. Just the bottom part, and whatever my arm could reach by standing on a stool and reaching down, which is NOT that far... heheh. You can still see pollen on the upper half of some windows, but they look so much better overall. No more cat noseyprints and slobber and dust.

The impending storm (it's already rumbling out there) makes me want to go straight home at quittin' time, and NOT go the other way on the T to State to work out for an hour. I like the gym, although I think I need a trainer if I want to see any changes -- right now I alternately bike hard for 30 minutes and do some other cardio, or lift weights for upper and lower body and sometimes do crunches on the bench thing with the handles. It's easier than regular crunches. But what I was saying is tonight I want to bury my head under my pillow, turn on some good music, and snuggle with my kitties.

Last night, I helped my BFF empty her bookshelves, switch her dresser and the bookshelves from room to room, and set up her new bedroom a little. It really wasn't all that much work. I took Pix for two walks over the long weekend, but let's face it: she's a cat. The fastest she's going to truck it is maybe a cat-gallop, which, on a leash and harness, isn't much faster than a human-jog. And it usually lasts all of 15 seconds and then she lies down and chews on grass. I can't really pull that off as exercise. And the various chores around the house -- most of that was B, in her Master Procrastinator/really impressive organizational mode. I should go lift and ride the bike. There's nothing I can do outside in this weather -- now that there's rain in streaks on the outer screens.

This was the most boring journal entry the world has ever seen. Window cleaner and gym avoidance. Hi, Pulitzer committee? It's me. You can just drop the prize off at my home address whenever it's convenient. Thanks.

Ah well, the process has to start somewhere, right? GRAY DAY!
