Somehow, my comfort watch of the moment (do you have those?) has become Pacific Rim. I’ve probably watched it five times in the last couple of weeks. (The funny thing is, I was genuinely scared when I saw it in the theater-like, convinced giant monsters were going to crawl out of the Atlantic and get me scared.) But on the small screen, it’s

You didn't like Age of Ultron much? Then I won't be so sad I missed it in the theatre and will just happily watch it when I get some time. Was it just not a good story? Are you still watching TW at all? I still watch even though it doesn't bear much resemblance to the show we started with. Lucky there is still much fabulous fic keeping Derek front and centre, right??

ps.. I also saw those bright planets you mentioned in your other post, only from waaaay over here!! I love the reminder that no matter how far away we all are, we still see the very same sky at some point. We are but little wee dots, aren't we? :D
pps-- ooooo! I just realised I missed your birthday! And a 40th, too! Happy Happy days, missey Jenn -- hope you had a lovely celebration!

I am glad you're still enjoying TW!! I've ended up not watching this season . . . I miss Derek too much! And I'm sort of slowly but surely feeling myself falling out of the fandom (just a natural progression, I think)--but if you read any really fabulous fic, I'd love a recommendation!! (And yes, I was pretty disappointed in Ultron--I just felt like a lot of the characterizations didn't jive with the characters I've come to know and love (with the notable exception of the Vision, who I did love a lot and who was by far the best part of the movie). Still definitely on the Steve/Bucky bandwagon, though, so I can just rewatch Winter Soldier while I'm anticipating/fearing Civil War. ;)
I just got back home after a really wonderful week at a Maine lake--kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and spending as much time as possible on a fabulous big deck with a water view, knitting away on my next cardigan, reading, drinking morning tea and evening gin & tonics, and watching for loons. It was such a perfectly summery getaway! Missing it a lot now, I must say.
I like knowing that you are staying warm and cozy, even as there are signs of spring!! I can't quite believe it's almost August--I am sure that before long we will start seeing and feeling those very earliest signs that fall isn't too far off.
xoxoxo Thinking of you and off to read your post to find out what's going on in your life!!

Your summer getaway sound so delightful. I'm not sure I could come back from that either. Your cardi will be full of fabulous memories.
