I am doing all the pre-cooking cooking right at this moment: roasting a sweet potato, making veggie stock, candying pineapple, and about to start the bread dough. :D

Thank you for the rec! <333

Wishing you a happy new year's eve! Your menu looks very delicious. (Out of curiosity, is Christmas bread similar to fruitcake? *puzzled*)

I am so so excited that you are sucked into H50, too!! :D \o/

And happy new year's eve to you!! Christmas bread is our longtime family tradition--it's just a basic sweet yeast bread dough with chopped pecans, candied pineapple, and spices rolled up in it before it's baked (and then it gets iced when it's done, yum). And traditionally, we only have it for breakfast on Christmas morning (and then whatever leftovers there may or may not be). But this year, I was still craving it, so I decided to cheat a little bit and make a New Year's loaf, too. :D

That sounds like a fantastic day to have spent the day!

Which book did you read/are you reading?

Yesterday, I read Touch Blue by Cynthia Lord-it was a short and sweet kids' book (and made sweeter since it was set on an island in Maine :D ).

And it was a really nice day!!
