Thought I would start off this update with this quiz thingy gacked from Minky. On to the update! First and foremost: Catalina! 9/11-9/12 Went to Catalina with Daniel for a two-day, fun-filled stay on the island. We ventured onto Glass-Bottom Boat Tour, which was pretty cool, but the Semi-Sub Tour was loads better.
On the Semi-Sub Tour, we got to see much more than on the Glass-Bottom Tour, we even got to see a sea lion! I've never seen one alive in the wild before (I've seen two dead ones at Ventura Beach) so I was a happy, little demon! We saw lots and lots and LOTS of fish when we reached the feeding areas of the tour. Our Semi-Sub was surrounded by schools of calico bass, opal-eyes, smiths, and orange fish (whose name escapes me right now).
We also partook in the Avalon Casino Tour. NOT A GAMBLING CASINO! No, this is a "place of gathering," meaning swanky parties and theater showings have been held here since 1929! And pretty much all of the stuff inside (the carpeting, wood paneling, air conditioning mechanism in the dance hall) is original (or restored to original condition). It's gorgeous inside!
There is an awesome Mini-Golf Course nestled in just off the main street. The foliage is all overgrown, but that's what gives it it's charm, and the holes are pretty challenging themselves. The mini-golf courses have NOTHING on this Catalina course!
I didn't get sea-sick!!! Not on the way there nor on the way back, so HA!!!
Went to Cinespace last night, with Heather and Orion, for Channel 101's showing of the new episodes and pilots of comedy skits that will either air or not air next month. Fun stuff! Cracked stuff! And Weird stuff in between! Never been to such an event and would like to go again! So let me know, MEI, when the next showing is!
I've done two new drawings: One of Nico Robin (finished) and one of Zoro (not finished) and I'm happy with the way they have turned (even though the Zoro one isn't done yet).
Well, that's about it for now!
