Ellie (pictured in icon in her puppy days) is a golden lab, now 7 years old. She has just started potassium bromide about a month ago to help control seizures. I am finding that since starting it, she is ZOMGHUNGRY all. the. time.
Escape from the kitchen to knock over and dig through the trash hungry. Steal her sister's leftover dinner from places i thought were out of her reach hungry. Whine at me for dinner at 4pm when she used to eat at 7pm hungry.
She also used to be a bit overweight, and has recently gotten back in shape thanks to lots of running, walking, and hiking. I like that she is back in shape and don't want to overfeed her and fatten her back up again. But, i also feel terrible for her being so hungry.
Any tips on ways to ease the excessive hunger???
