So I believe I have a job. Or at least REALLY hope I do.
P.F. Chang's at the Quarry. I'll be a server. It's a fancy Asian-American restaurant where the food's pricey. And the alcohol list is quite extensive. The wines range anywhere from $29 a bottle, to almost $200. I get to eat for free every day at 3:30, or I get 50% off if I want something specific. If I don't work that day, I get 25% off for me an up to 3 other people, and that includes alcohol (not that I really care about that, it's just most places never include that in the discounts). I can get health insurance from day ONE. After a year I can get Vision and Dental as well. I get one holiday off (for the entire week) every year. Full time is 25 hours a week, after that it's overtime.
Here's the kicker:
September is the most dead month of the year for any restaurant (proven fact). servers are still making $200-$300 a week. When it's busy, I can make $500-$700+ every week. Ho-lee-crap.
This sounds like the best job ever.
I made it to the second interview. That's tomorrow. Wish me luck. I really want this job.
