The last week or so has been . . . full. Not in a bad way, though not all in a terribly good way either. Oddly, not as freakishly busy like usual, but eventful in other ways. I don't really want to talk about everything, but I'll mention a couple.
Most recently, I found out on Monday that my ACL graft was ruptured, and the meniscus was slightly torn as well. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, considering that surgery in itself and especially when combined with my terror of doctors was the worst experience of my life, and being an invalid for six months nearly killed me. Thanks to a lot of prayer and encouragement from my friends and family, God is helping me deal with it, but it's still not easy, of course. "Ne avertas oculos a fulgore hujus sideris, si non vis obrui procellis." He has taken exceptionally good care of me recently, working things out like only He can. In short, I'm extremely grateful toward everyone who has been praying for me, it looks like things are gonna be better this time around.
Another good thing that has happened recently, is that my da got to come to Colorado on business for a couple days this week, so I have gotten to see him a couple times already and hanging out with him has been great.
School has been ok, I guess. I have been doing well enough, but now I'm just trying to get things done, and hoping my teachers will be understanding about everything. I may be inextricably buried in work and begging for extensions before too long.
Sadly, it looks like I won't get to go to West Point, which I was really looking forward to. It would've been cool just to go to the game and watch us destroy Army on their home field, but more than anything I wanted to see West Point from the inside. But better opportunities have been lost, and sadder things have happened, I guess. So please keep me in your prayers. It's a comfort to not only know God is looking out for me, but to see His hand in everything that happens. But even so, times aren't easy by any account.
