Once again, I find myself seriously wondering if I've made the best decision for my education. Certainly, France isn't far enough to avoid this... issue, but I'd certainly prefer to be a far as possible from any violent conflict and, more importantly, as close as possible to my family.

Well, it's too late to change my mind now, I suppose. And if I'm going to have this sort of stress, I'd much rather have Rosemariné by my side.

...I suppose I should get in the habit of calling it a war. It's such a an ugly word, and such a disgusting concept.
