Alternatively, perhaps I shouldn't leave my bed for a few months.

No, simply to avoid being bothered. Although perhaps I should pretend to be sick for a week or so to give myself a break.

In this house, it could be anybody. Although at the moment I'm especially concerned about the people who were threatening the drinker.
