☆ - like (out of five) ✕ - dislike (out of five) ✞ - trust ☡ - distrust ♥ - love/attraction ☺ - teabuddies!

Spirit Albarn

shibusen / avoids

Spirit is usually the one who explains things about Death City and Shibusen to Jules, so he's become a sort of representative of them in Jules' mind -- and since he doesn't approve of being there one bit, he ends up taking it out on Spirit. Maybe if they were more organized and didn't, you know, make people stick around, he'd actually like him.

✕✕ ☡

Jeanne d'Arc

friend / fellow frenchman

There's only one other French person in Death City (that doesn't think he's actually a country), but it's freaking Jeanne d'Arc. Nobody's bothered to mention to Jules that she's a saint, but even so he happens to think she's pretty awesome, just on principle. She's a bit boyish for his tastes (women should have the chance to sit there and be pretty at least sometimes!) but that makes sense, considering who she is. Jeanne doesn't really understand why Jules is so interested in getting to know her, but she seems to appreciate it (when he's not accidentally walking in on her changing).

☆☆☆ ✞

Aurora

acquaintence

A princess! Jules hasn't made the fairy tale connection, but the sheer fact that there's a princess in Death City makes him want to know her.

☆☆

Serge Battour

canonmate / acquaintance

Serge is a bit of a mystery. Jules knows him as Gilbert's roommate and a star student, but while Gilbert was around it reawakened his fear that something more than just that was going on. Having someone from Lacomblade around is lovely, of course, but that doesn't mean he needs to trust or like serge by default. There may be dozens of weirdos in Death City, but Serge is the one that Jules wants to keep an eye on.

☆ ✕

China (Yao Wong)

someone to discuss things with over tea

A man from the orient and one of the group that claims to be nations, Mr. Wong is intriguing. Unlike France, China seems very rational and stable; if anybody convinced Jules to believe that countries could be people, it would be him.

That aside, Jules rather likes China due to his ability to hold intelligent conversations about the same kinds of things that Jules likes to talk about.

☆☆☆ ☺

D

classy teabuddy

Jules doesn't know an awful lot about D personally, but for a friendship that's mostly formal, he likes him a lot. D obviously knows a lot about tea, for one thing, and he also lacks the obsession with modern things that so many people seem to have. Jules would like to learn more about him!

☆☆ ☺

Nanako Dojima

partner / housemate / friend / adoration / someone to care for

Dear lord, so cute! Jules likes to take care of people, and Nanako is the perfect person to take care of. She's clearly quite harmless and, despite the many friends she has in Death City, sometime seems oddly lonely. Jules would like to feed her tea and be her surrogate aunt brother forever.

☆☆☆☆ ✞ ☺

England (Arthur Kirkland)

acquaintance / weird country guy

☆ ☺

Jade Harley

friend / someone to care for

Jade is another one of those adorable little girls who is unfairly stuck here, and that's just sad. It sounds like she's lead a somewhat hard an lonely life, so he wants to be there to make her happy. Young ladies deserve to smile! He tried to make her feel better when she saw scandalous pictures on the network and again when her friend left, so that's a start.

Raidou Kuzonoha

??

For the first time, Jules found out what it was like to have a friend leave the city only to return with their memories gone. Jules cares about this Raidou just as much as he did the one he once knew, but it's quite strange trying to be friends with somebody who doesn't remember you.

☆☆

Lili Rochefort

acquaintence

Lili has reacted more strongly to Jules' old-fashioned origins than anybody else in Death City. That's not surprising, given that she is the opposite of what he expects a woman to be like: she's blunt, violent, and almost uncomfortably open about sexual matters. He doesn't dislike her for that, mind, but he really wishes she would calm down and stop interrogating him about his kinks.

Saralegui

tension

Knowing Jules, one might think that he'd enjoy Saralegui's presence simply because he's blond, pretty, and was well-off in his homeworld. That's what Jules thought at first as well, but his assumptions were proven quite wrong when Sara began to praise demons. They tend to avoid each other now, since they tend to disagree harshly on that sort of thing.

✕✕✕ ☡

Souji Seta

friend

As Nanako's partner, Jules has, of course, gotten closer to her cousin. It wasn't hard for Jules and Souji to get along at all; they both cared about Nanako, and she probably wouldn't appreciate her "big brothers" being anything but friends. Honestly, Jules doesn't know a lot about Souji, but he certainly likes what he does know. The boy seems level-headed, intelligent, and kinder to Jules than he sometimes feels he deserves. The fact that he considers Jules an honorary member of his family is quite flattering, though.

☆☆ ☺

Alois Trancy

gilbert v. 2.0

This kid definitely reminds him of a certain somebody from back home. It must be the hair, because Alois really isn't that much like Gilbert... as far as Jules knows. He's just a spoiled, beautiful kid, really, but his status as an Earl, the time he comes from, and his love for tea add up to Jules being fairly fond of Alois and sometimes willing to listen to his commands. They do disagree about things -- specifically, religion -- but that makes Jules want to help him all the more.

☆☆ ☺

John Watson

acquaintance

Being an educated Victorian gentleman, Watson was someone that Jules liked rom the moment he spoke to him. It would be a bit of an exaggeration to call them friends -- for the most part, their discussions are practical, not personal -- but Jules does trust him to a degree and enjoy his company.

☆☆ ✞ ☺

(( notable drops ))

Ezio Auditore

trainer

Jules doesn't know an awful lot about Ezio, but he's helping him with learning self-defense and that is pretty nice of him.

Gilbert Cocteau

canonmate / it's complicated

BLAH BLAH BLAH WORDS WORDS WORDS TEA TEA TEA

☆☆☆☆

Cain C. Hargreaves

friend

The two of them have a lot in common: they're from similar times and places, they're both gentlemen with noble blood, and (most importantly) they have a mutual love for relaxing and enjoying tea together. Jules doesn't know everything about him, and that's probably a good thing, although he doesn't know it. What he does know is that they get along wonderfully and have become fairly close.

When Mary Weather, arrived in Death City, Jules happily befriended her as well. Of course he did; in addition to being Cain's sister she was sweet and kind. And when she and their butler were quickly sent back home, Jules was the only to help keep Cain from falling into despair. Cain himself left soon after, a depressing loss to Jules.

☆☆☆ ☺

France (Francis Bonnefoy)

supposed nation

He's the embodiment of Jules' country, or so he claims -- Jules, however, is quite convinced that he's nuts, at least in that respect. Countries are made of dirt and rocks!

Monsieur Bonnefoy is whiny, childish, and probably a prostitute. However, he can also be very mature when he wants to be and has provided a surprising amount of guidance to Jules. And by guidance I mean booze. Jules would be be lying if he said that he didn't consider France a good friend that is, for the most part, very enjoyable to be with.

☆☆☆ ✞

Raidou Kuzunoha

friend

Jules and Raidou have a lot of common ground: they're quiet, intelligent, old-fashioned, and so on. Because of all of this, Raidou was perhaps the first person in Death City that Jules found remotely comfortable calling a friend. They can't bond about everything, mind; he's quite uncomfortable hearing about demons, for instance.

☆☆☆☆

Adah Price

caution / tension

Adah is... quite honestly, very creepy. Jules doesn't think she's going to do anything horrible, but her beliefs are really skewed (he had to tell her why murder was wrong, for god's sake) and she seems like she could be really dangerous if she wanted to be.

✕ ☡

Rachel Price

dislike

So Jules ran into her soon after he arrived in Death City, before he had really gotten used to modern things. She was wearing a pretty skimpy outfit because of the heat, and he made the mistake of mentioning that she should cover up more for her own safety. That was the wrong thing to say, of course, and nothing that happened ever fixed their relationship. SHe hates him more than he does her, but it's still mutual dislike for sure.

✕✕ ☡

Rose Sheedy

acquaintance

She's really a very nice young lady, and a lot like what Jules is used to from back home. Shy, sweet, and very pretty.

Sandrilene fa Toren (Sandry)

acquaintance

She's not only a young lady but a noble one, and that alone means that Jules feels a need to be good to her. They don't see eye-to-eye on most things, but at the same time they're able to cooperate when needed and spend time together occasionally.
