Something else is coming! We gotta be careful. And we gotta stop this war over the kitchen - the Queen could do anything to us, and if we're distracted by fighting each other, we won't be able to stop the Mirrors if they decide to do . . . something!

Come on, guys! We can share the Mansion. There are enough rooms for everybody.

If the Mirrors decide to do something, then I'll simply kick their asses.

[sigh]

Can't we try working peacefully with them first? Just to see if it works?

Do you know what peace is, boy? Actual peace?

Uh, peace is my job, so, yeah.

I'm sorry he's so mean. :< militaristics September 25 2009, 16:58:13 UTC
What a shallow job that must be! Glossing over other's differences, disputes, and legitimate protests under the guise of peace. Crushing opposer and revolts while, at the same time, you capitulate your sovereignty and autonomy to every lesser nation with a "brand new alliance to ensure peace."

Peace is completely disgusting. And in your optimistic little world, you obviously fail to understand what real peace is.

It's okay, Aang's friends with Zuko. <3 doesntneedpants September 25 2009, 17:00:10 UTC
O . . . kay.

And what IS "real" peace?

A brief pause created by white-gloved aristocrats before the next war. A time of stagnation and fear. Paranoia and protests.

Completely nonsensical.

I think you have peace confused for something else.

I think you're being too optimistic.

So if peace is what you said it was, what's war?

The natural state of life.

. . . do you think that because it IS true, or because you WANT it to be true?

Consider it an observation after centuries of experience.

Then I wish you'd spent more time observing the Airbenders, instead of . . . whoever you were observing.

There are plenty of nations that get by without attacking their neighbors just fine. Wars might happen, but in my centuries of experience . . . only because somebody decided to do something stupid that they didn't have to do.
