I WAS using my head. I thought if my regular bending was only holding them off, the Avatar state would be enough to get rid of them. I didn't know they were trying to eat souls.

Gee, the Avatar state isn't the solution to all your problems. Try not to use it so much in this place. It's too risky.

Airbending is all about finding solutions around the problem. I haven't been keeping that in mind like I should.
