That's what I've been learning, which is a shame.

[Rose would take a party over being kidnapped by scientists any day. Of course, if she had a choice at all she'd be in Haven with the rest of the Fables.]

Does anyone know how they managed to take us from so far away?

I'm not sure.. Although they have the ability to influence all of us quite a bit, as they seem to regularly carry out experiments on us as well.

[ It's easy to hear from her tone that the idea doesn't particularly excite her. ]

[The idea definitely doesn't excite Rose either, and she wonders to herself if perhaps her being a Fable is part of why she's been brought there.]

What kind of influence and experiments are we talking about here?

They're capable of kidnapping people randomly from this place to perform some sort of tests on them. Sometimes also strange things start happening in the village.. Like people behaving different from usual and all those sort of bothersome things.

[So, they were all guinea pigs, but if there was a greater purpose at hand, it wasn't readily apparent to Rose.]

It's not a problem.. If we're all going to be stuck in this hellhole, we might as well inform new people of what's waiting for them.

[The way she says it makes it sound as if there's nothing to be done to counter what lies ahead. The concept doesn't sit easily with Rose, who's more of a doer than a sit-back-and-let-things-happen kind of girl.]

No one's been able to get in their way or stop them? Even just once?

I'm sure someone must have tried somewhere along the line, but I've only been here for about two months now, so I can't say I experienced one of the attempts.
